Back in February, Justin and I skied into Snyder Lake with hopes of climbing the North face of Mt. Edwards. We were both itching for a good adventure, but the weather had other plans. The park had been seeing high wind events and coupled with large snowfall, shut us down due to the poor conditions. Plan B as always was the Brainstem wall on Mt. Brown. Conditions looked exciting up there, but it was a safe alternative a true alpine adventure. The ice appeared to be in super fun conditions, but while I was on it, realized it was going to be much more difficult than expected. Not to say it wasn’t a blast. We worked our way through the crux and topped out on a wonderful climb. With the day fading away we made our way back to the car and headed for the Packer’s Roost. That turned out to be an entirely new story….
