Bio
Chris Gibisch, photographer
Although a Respiratory Therapist by profession, I spend most of the time pursuing my passion for the outdoors through adventure sports. A career that demands only three days of my week allows me the time to explore the world we live in.
During my recreational pursuits, I get to experience the world through many unique perspectives. Along the way, I try to capture these moments and experiences through a lens.
I developed my passion for photography as a teenager. The art of capturing images and producing prints captivated me. Images from photographers such as Ansel Adams and Galen Rowel inspired, and challenged me to strive for their high standards.
When I was introduced to the world of climbing, and later free flight, I thought I could combine these passions through photography. The idea of capturing images from difficult positions that yield unique perspectives drives me to excel and proves the most rewarding.
Today I make sure to carry my camera every time I’m outside. Regardless of what I’m doing, I want to be ready to capture an image when the opportunity presents itself.
